Applicants for housing must be aged at least 55, be living in or have lived in Exeter or within a ten mile radius.
In some circumstances, the requirements relating to age and place of residence may be relaxed.
In all cases, however, applicants for accommodation must be in financial need.
There are 8 groups of properties situated in different locations within easy reach of the City Centre.
There are in all 134 dwellings, consisting mainly of one-bedroomed flats on ground or first
floor, with some two storey cottages, and a purpose built block of 9 bedsits and 6 flats on ground,
first and second floors, served by a communal passenger lift.
Residents are responsible for paying their own heating and lighting bills, their council tax and
a weekly charge, which provides for the maintenance of the dwellings and gardens. These
funds are supplemented by income from investments administered by the Trustees.
